TEDxOhioStateUniversity

TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxOhioStateUniversity, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxOhioStateUniversity event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized. Joining the Design Committee in 2023, I was given the chance to create graphics for this organization.

The Main Event Conference 2024: Luminary

In my first year at TEDxOhioStateUniversity, I was given the chance to design a logo for our main event, "Luminary". When creating this logo I aimed to create a simple yet straightforward look. Using the dot in the "i" I made a lighthouse beam that translated down towards the bottom of the y.

Every speaker at our events gets their own icon that relates to their talks. taking half of the speakers and splitting it with another design member, I created these four icons.

With all of the ten icons together, I created a subtle flicker animation that would play behind the speakers during their talks/performance.

Each of the speakers also got an introduction that shows what their talk/performance title is and their names. I used another flicker effect animation for this.

Graphic was created to let people know speaker applications were open to the public.

Social media posts were created to promote a TEDxOhioStateUniversitySalon event in collaboration with First-Gen Pre-PA.
